Day 12 – Reno – San Francisco
Today being the last day for us going on this Lincoln Highway to Bay Area
Morning just before we start the ride

Riding in a real hoy heat wave here. 100 to 104 degree
Arrived motel where group ll be staying for the next two nights in Castro Valley
Deaf Community Center at San Leandro
Met our old high school classmate, Joe Scoggnamio
Arrived our final destination! Butch & Allen s home in San Francisco

Done!
We made it! Now we r at Castro Valley where all bikers ll motel for the next two nights while we hang around then go to Deaf Community Center at San Leandro in two hours then to San Francisco later this evening. Total 19 bikers this am and 17 bikers this aftn! Hhhhooooootttt last half of the route. 100-104 degree yet we all made it all the way across America!
Day 11 – Austin – Reno
Early in the morning n getting ready for the final leg of the loneliest highway in america!
Guess what. Saw 3 little birds sitting on the black roadway as we just begun the ride for the day Unfortunately one didn’t make it while two other flew off. Sniff!
We both r loving every moment of our journey with this Lincoln Highway Deaf Bikers!

Taking a short detour so my wife could change clothes for Deaf picnic near Reno (at Sparks)
At our hotel in Sparks – Nugget Casino hotel. Very nice hotel!

Saw this “cake” at one of the restaurant at the hotel. Nice!
Our route for the day. Yes we did detour to go 3/4 round the Lake Tahoe – it was my wife s first time to that lake!

Day 10 – Salt Lake City – Austin
We all re-grouped at Saratoga Springs, Utah just south west of slc
Setting an extra tank on his bike due to possible no gas station over a long span on this loneliest highway of America!

Day 9 – Rock Springs – Salt Lake City
Guardsman pass – approx 10,000 ft high going from Park City to Salt Lake City. Lovely route. Lots of steep curves!

Visiting n staying with an old friend, Billy Krahl and his new hobby, home made beer. Yummy!
Day 8 Cheyenne – Rock Springs
Am relieved to know that my dearest wife still loves to bike!
Aaaah. Hot tub after a long n great day too!
Real sorry that I’ve not added captions above. Am pooped n ready for bed! Total 13 bikers all day today. Strong gust wind 35+ plus gust. First half was terrific. The last half on interstate 80 – with gust. Ain’t fun yet we had a ball!
Tonight. Three new biker ll join us going to California and more ll join w us tomorrow at salt lake city’
Bed is screaming for me!
Day 7 – Kearney – Cheyenne

Real sorry I m ready to zzz. However today was another great day of biking. 11 of us altogether from Kearney to Cheyenne! Beautiful day. All back road throughout! We both enjoyed every minute if biking!
