A short n sweet ride with my Dearest Daughter going by Shenandoah river
That’s by the Shenandoah River in WVa
One hour and 45 min covering 71 miles of leisurely backroad. Lovely ride w my dearest daughter!
Lovely sunny day to go! Starting at 39-41 degree early in the morning n raised up to 70-75 later in the day
Off I go
Stopped by Eric s home then he followed me in his Yellowhawk bike on to
That intersection where Tom the King of the Korn met us on his bike and on we go to
Then some zig zagging back road heading southward toward Sheetz at Hayward in Va. A good one hour and 15 min ride. 3 of us. Met up w 3 other bikers there at Sheetz
6 or 7 of us on to EDB meeting site about 17-18 miles away together
Our dear Prez Darrell the Dallman
15 of us altogether. A light lunch thereafter then off we go biking exploring part of Virginia
Now back to Sheetz in Haymarket then some of us split headin back home
That is not all. – some cigar n pipe time chatting with my Dear wife
Excitedly!!
Temp 39 degree. Brrrr yet ain’t too bad because of heated seat and grip!
No bike for us for the next one to two weeks! Dropped bike off for one big reason – factory recall on master cylinder plus need oil filter change n rear brake job. First time using Dutrow Honda s service – they run an old fashioned business. First come first served – estimate one to two weeks back log servicing – till then! Have a great day n week!
Yesterday, December 26th and again today, December 27th. Had the opportunity to enjoy a real leisure backroad ride for an hour each day with my dearest family members!!!!
Notice on both Motion X-GPS map. It stopped while running in background. Not sure why – gotta figure it out however what is shown both days r half of our actual back road riding! 😢
Weather – unusually warm – 70’s
Now we’r heading toward Potomac river north of Harper’s Ferry
Then toward Shepherdstown, our favorite town in WVa
Hemp burger – delicious!
Wheat grass drink!
Heading out toward Gathland State Park
Always so wonderful to go biking with my children! Thank you Karita for riding with me! A photo/biking afternoon!
My 2nd time running down the famous National Park Skyline Drive – Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. – hosted by David Sipple. Small group due to Cold weather. Started at 39 degree early 7am and hover in low 40s almost all day long.
Met up with Craig and Tom
The. On to Dinosaur Land a short n which photo stop enroute to Front Royal
A nine minutes hop later
Met up with David Sipple and his better half. David the road captain of the Skyline Drive
Accidentally killed this motion x gps app through most part of skyline drive on right side alongside the dotted route – 35mph almost all the way. Lots of cars. Quite some motorcyclists.
Here come some selected pics we shot down the skyline drive
Almost lunch time. Off we go to….
Great lunch! Great food!
Returning back to Skyline Drive
Already 3pm and still quite cold. There s a frost warning for this evening throughout the region including Frederick. Decide not to go all the way to end of Skyline drive. Missed the last 30 miles n headed back home. A good 3 plus hours coming back via scenic route 340
Actua 285 miles as this app was killed a portion of skyline drive 😰
Never less it was a great day of biking. We all enjoyed the trip very much. Thank you David for hosting and youn your half were a great company with the big V coming from Craig 👍
